Michigan Monster Costume

This Costume is being modeled by my Boyfriend , Matthew. Standing over 6ft tall with a muscular build , he seemed to be the perfect fit for the vision in mind . With his patience and my creativity we worked together to make a mythical being into a reality. This abominable snowman yeti was inspired by a scary story he was told as a child .It was a tale about terrifying yeti's that lived in the snowy mountains of Michigan , they would travel at night to hunt.. you could hear there snarls and yeti calls, if they smelled your fear or easy prey they would come to secluded homes and drag their long claws alongside trees and housings..never leave your family pet outside alone! If you found these claw markings near by.. you knew to get out of the area fast and not to return. This costume was completely hand made , from the frightening sharp claws to the gruesome set of flesh tearing teeth , this costume is sure to make you want to step back a couple feet. I had a lot of fun making prosthetic s out of liquid latex and paint, fur fabric bought by the yard. The teeth were molded and made by polymorphic plastic beads , safe and non toxic this is an awesome product to use, melt them in hot water and then get to molding .. they will harden with every detail you put into it, colored with food coloring . I used a fake bone and covered it with liquid latex to create a realistic looking flesh that could dangle and be torn off. lots of latex, faux fur, fake blood, creativity and love went into this spooky costume.
