Minecraft Family Costumes

Our family decided to wear Minecraft costumes this year because our boys are 100% in love with the Minecraft game. There was a lot of time and work involved in making these. Not gonna lie, my patience was running thin towards the end because there was so much painting involved. The end result turned out amazing so all the hard work and time was totally worth it. I used lots of elmer's glue to put all the boxes together. Then drew small squares on each one and painted each square with acrylic paint....sooooo many squares to paint!!! I used purple sheet paper for the Enderman's eyes. There's LED lights behind the eyes to make them glow...I took the picture in the daylight so the lights aren't on. For the bow/arrow/fishing pole/carrot I used grid paper to trace them out, traced those onto foam board, cut them out and painted them. I also used duck tape on the shirt and pants for the Skeleton's bones. Our boys love them and I've had so many Mommies tell me their kids think they're awesome and want them.
