Minions Costume

This is me(Tricha) and my friend Selena and we dressed as Minions! We think the Minions were pretty much the best thing about Despicable Me. We thrifted the overalls and made the stencil for the symbol on the front. We also bought white leggings and white shirts and then dyed them yellow so that they would match. We went to Home Depot and got the yellow construction hats, gloves, and the parts to make the goggles. For the goggles we bought PVC pipe and actually had to use an electrical saw to cut them! We also bought bolts and hot glued them to the sides just like the minions have. We connected them in the middle by drilling holes and using nut and bolts to keep them secure. And of course we spray painted them the metallic silver. Last but not least we needed minion hair! We bought black pipe clear and gave ourselves a funky minion hairdo by hot gluing them to the top of the construction hats. The goggles were by far the hardest part of the costume because we made them from scratch. But we were really proud when it was all done!
