A quick search on Pinterest for "minion costumes" and I found this

It's in another language so I was glad there were visual instructions as well. I used old oatmeal container instead of jar lids and hats instead of the pipe cleaner. I also painted on our overalls instead of using fabric.

The teeth are white craft foam and the mouth has black tule.
