Miss Argentina Costume

I always loved Beetlejuice and this year I thought it would be a creative idea to go as Miss Argentina, the afterlife receptionist. I decided to put this costume together myself instead of purchasing the store "dead receptionist" outfit. I got the dress, wig and tights on Amazon for about 30 dollars total. I bought teal and bright green water based face pain and combined them together to get the dead blueish green skin she has. I bought a blank sash off Amazon for 5 dollars and a pack of iron on letters for 3 dollars to make the sash. I used FX wrist slits for the wrists which was 7ish dollars. I already had a pair of heels and a clip for my hair.

The wig is just a red wig with the hair down. I couldn't find an updo so I just did a quick updo in a clip and Bobby pinned it in place. For my face makeup I used a naked pallet I already had that had dark blues, greens, white and purple.

The most difficult part was her cape because I had to make it from scratch. I used floral wire to shape the top and my mom helped cut our sparkly tulle to glue with a glue gun and tulle for the cape. It turned out really cute.

I got a lot of compliments through the night and some people were really excited to see miss Argentina lol.

I'd say this costume cost about 70 dollars total which isn't bad seeing as though the cheesy flimsy store bought dead receptionist costume is only 20 dollars less and doesn't come with the wig or skin paint.
