A word from Michele, the 'Beast' costume creator:
Right after the release of the live action Beauty and the Beast I knew what I wanted to do for Halloween. The prosthetic face and cowl kit I really wanted came from the FX Warehouse but was always out of stock until it finally came in and I ordered the complete kit which included the rubber cowl with attachable horns and paint. I started working right away and then decided I did not want to simply glue the hair on but would actually handpunch the hair in. The hair is about 8 different shades and brands of crepe wool that have been straightened and then carefully blended for this lovely chestnut color- ( the Cowl has more hair than most dogs) and I even added small foam latex ears which are lost in the hair. I then painted the facial prosthetic also from FX Warehouse and then punched more crepe wool hair to resemble the animated Beast face.
I purchased the suit from Ebay and had it custom made to fit me wearing a padded muscle shirt for the barrel chest look. I added a pair of brown werewolf gloves from Zagone I already had and then the feet...ahh the feet were a beast. I made these as feet to my werewolf fursuit nearly 5 year ago...they are brown fur glued over white platform gogo boots from California Costume and I have added padded toes with Sculpey nails. They are hard to walk in but served the purpose. I did have to add some wide lace to the knee britches though as my boots of course stopped midcalf. But over all I am very happy with my final Beast.
