A word from Annette, the 'Captain Underpants' costume creator:
My son is a huge Captain Underpants fan. The costume available in Target and Walmart was so sad - I wanted him to have a costume he'd love. The costume is made of foam and knit and felt. The biggest design problem to solve other than how to achive the silhouette was -- how can I allow him to see. I managed to find a way to do it -- using the mouth and a privacy vinyl you typically see on storefronts and car windows. This costume took several weekends to make.
