Cindy Lou Who Costume

My Daughter Lexi, dressed up as Cindy Lou Who for Halloween this year. She LOVES the movie 'How The Grinch Stole Christmas.' (the one released in 2000, with Jim Carrey) So it was HER idea to be Cindy Lou Who.

We bought the black and white checkered coat and the red tights. Lexi's grandma made her the red cape with the fur on it. (We went to the fabric store, found a pattern and bought materials.)

For the hair, we used styrofoam eggs and beading wire. LOTS of hairspray. :)
The bangs in the headband is not her real hair (I just couldn't cut her hair! The rest of the hairdo is HER hair though.) We found a hairpiece at Sally Hansen Beauty supply store, glued it under the headband and trimmed it to make bangs. painted a plate and cup and glued it on the headband. Made Some red bows, sprayed on some glitter and Voila! Cindy Lou Who!

Lots of time went into this, and it turned out amazing!!
