A word from Elizabeth, the 'Miss Argentina' costume creator:
I am wearing this costume I made myself. I am a huge fan of the movie Beetlejuice and although the receptionist in the after world waiting room has a small part it was a costume I was excited to try!!
--First the body paint--I used paradise brand paint in teal and green lumiere luxe powder to brush on top to get the right color- then I used a dark purple eye shadow for around my eyes and cheek bones and collar bone. I used glue stick and red paint to create the slit wrist effect accenting with black.
--I was able to find the dress at a thrift store
--I bought the wig and pinned it into and updo
--I bought the tights so I didn't have to paint my legs as well!
--I bought wide white ribbon for the sash and wrote on it with a sharpie
--the cape was a bit trickier-- I bought small fairy wings spray painted them red and bent them to look like flames like she wears in the movie, I found the red fabric at walmart and sewed it to the wings for the cape, I added straps that I safety pinned around the back.
--I also made the "handbook for the recently deceased" from the movie--I bought a book with a removable dust jacket ($1 at the dollar tree) painted the book brown and printed the cover and glued it on.
