A word from Cindy, the 'The 13 Ghosts Pilgrimess and Jackal' costume creator:
Based off movie The 13 Ghosts, The Pilgrimess, as me. I handmade most of costumes except corset, my black over shirt (was homemade but not by me). I had to relearn how to sew, never was any good. The black skirt is out of material I found at a thift shop for a couple dollars. It's a gathered type with a tie at the top, velcro back. Under is my old wedding dress pettie coat. I also learned how to use a wig cap and wig, that was fun. Make up: I used latex for the wrinkle effect, doesn't last long after sweating all night out. Face turned out dark green that was only color that would stay, wasn't the color I wanted. The stalk I made out of paper mache and card board. Hubby made the big bolts out of wood, and hinges of metal.
The Jackal, worn by my husband. I handmade the straight jacket, pants, and the cage. The top is some fabric I had from over the years, I used wooden rings, and canning rings for the round breather holes. Speaker wire, and metal for the rings the belts hung from. Spray paint for the dirty look. The pants were some old slacks we had, bought a cheap long wig. I made the cage out of paper mache and card board.
