The Addams Family Costume

Every year we come up with a theme for our family of 7. This year, we did the Addams Family. I made everything by visiting thrift stores for inexpensive suit jackets for Gomez and Lurch. Made Wednesdays dress from a woman's sweater and hot glued the collar from felt and buttons. Made "Thing" from a piece of cardboard cut in a circle, created the tv for my son's head (with eye holes) and box for "thing" to come out of. Cousin Itt was made from camo netting that I hot glued wigs from a thrift store and added the bowlers hat and sunglasses to finish the look. Even made the cigar for gomez from felt and a brown paper bag. The light bulb for Uncle Fester was made from a plastic bottle, toilet paper roll and aluminum foil. Morticia was from a dress I found that I cut and hot glued and added tentacles at the bottom with nylons stuffed with plastic bags.
