Willy Wonka and Charlie Costume

My son Colton and I are wearing our homemade costumes. I am dressed as Willy Wonka, the costume made up of thrift store pieces, Christmas ribbon for the snazzy embellishments (glued, pinned and tied on), a candy cane wrapped in electrical tape for his cane and foam board for the hat (2 pieces). My son is Charlie, his costume made up of thrift store pieces and a golden ticket made of cardboard wrapped in gold foil and a printed “ticket” glued on and outlined in gold glitter. The inspiration came because everyone always says how much he looks like Charlie so we decided to have a little fun for hardly any money! Everyone has loved this costume as do we!
