A word from Tanya, the 'Wizard of Oz Family' costume creator:
Our family - Daughter 4yr Son 1 yr. Tanya's absolute favorite movie growing up. As tin man or "woman" I wore graftobian metallic body paint (amazing product highly recommend!) used a dollar store funnel with body paint on that too and reused an old dress with goodwill capris (to be family friendly)! Scarecrow was a goodwill pant and shirt find as well with jute string. For the details I visited the cornfield and at home I wet the stalk leaves so they were not so brittle. I shredded them and tied them together before adding to outfit. Used eyeliner and lipstick for face makeup and bought hat from Halloween Express. Dorothy was a project! First white tulle to assemble bottom layer of tutu. Middle layer was a light blue tutu bought from goodwill. I sewed the apron and apron shirt as well as straps and bows. Shoes and Toto basket bought from Target. Our little lion was a reused costume swap and trade find. Eyeliner for details. (nook... hmmm not part of costume but sure made our little lion happy during a long day!)
