Young Maleficent Costume

My daughter Josie decided after seeing the Maleficent movie that was who she wanted to be for Halloween. I made the horns out of crumpled brown paper bags, taped up and attached to a headband. The wings are a cardboard project display board, cut to shape. I used spray adhesive to attach coffee filters and then spray painted and coated with mod podge. They are attached with duck tape and a stretchy scarf. The dress was a woman's shirt we found at the thrift store, and my daughter made the jewelry and leather pouch using supplies from the craft store. My daughter got lots of compliments this Halloween!
