This homemade costume for boys entered our 2012 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Theressa, the 'Mr. Fredrickson and Russell from Up' costume creator:
My son, Weston (age 6), is playing the part of Mr Fredrickson and his brother, Seth (age 3), is Russell, from one of their favorite movies, "Up." We pieced together the outfits from clothing we had on hand or bought from thrift stores. For Russell's backpack, I attached several exploring related items, then I taped balloons onto a wooden dowel and stuck it into the backpack. They both enjoyed playing their parts!
