Mummy Costume

My son Bryant wanted to be The Mummy for Halloween so we took an old bed sheet and ripped it into strips. I bought a pair of long johns and wrapped the strips loosely around the torso and the legs, sewing a single stitch here and there to keep it together. After he put it on, we finished wrapping the arms and chest and around the waist. We used safety pins to hold them in place, keeping them under the cloth so you couldn't see them. We then put baby powder in his hair to whiten it and make it look ashy, painted his face with store bought Halloween face paint and wrapped a strip around his head. Including the long johns, the whole thing cost approximately $10.00 and it turned out great!!
