Net Zero Green Home Costume

My costume idea came from a recent open house I went to. The builder (Sy Safi) took us on a tour and explained the many systems that not only made the home energy efficient but healthier to live in as well! I had heard of "net zero" homes before and have always wanted to, but had never actually been in one. I was so amazed by all the technology and stuff that I decided to be that for Halloween. I looked online for pictures of "net zero homes" and came upon an infographic that labeled the parts of a net zero home, so that was my inspiration! It took me about 17 hours to complete over the past week. I used shoe boxes, paper, paint, and many random objects, such as caps to bottles, beads, a dental floss case, and even nebulizer tubing to create my costume! All of the materials were either recycled or repurposed so I didn't even have to spend any money! Overall it was a very fun costume to make and I think everyone was pretty impressed!
