This homemade costume for boys entered our 2022 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Mike, the 'Nintendo Switch' costume creator:
My son Jack asked to dress as a Nintendo Switch for Halloween this year, so I designed and built an exact scaled (larger) replica utilizing a 19 inch TV, one 4Ah battery, an inverter from 18VDC to 120VAC, a media player with a looped Mario Kart 8 Deluxe screen chapter. For all mechanical components I designed and built wooden controllers, with auto retainers for buttons, a curtain rod mount, a backpack with car seat clips for physical mount, weight distribution and storage of electronic components, and of course a modified Medway, MA t-ball red hat, and a mustache to dress like Mario while holding the Nintendo Switch.
