This homemade costume for women entered our 2013 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Taryn, the 'Oola from Return of the Jedi' costume creator:
Anyone can go as princess Leia so I chose Oola, the ill fated Twilek dancer from Jabba the Hutt's palace who was thrown down to the rancor.
This costume is 100% handmade. I designed a halter catsuit for the body and stuffed a pair of green tights with polyfill for the lekku (head tentacles for the layman). The "overalls" were made from the mesh using in golf driving ranges and the headpiece was made of a combination of leather, fimo (to make the imperial symbol) and part of the egg holders from egg cartons for the bony nubs on either side.
