This homemade costume for babies entered our 2012 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Rachael, the 'Oompa Loompa' costume creator:
My 18 month old daughter Sophia being an Oompa Loompa. I thought this was great idea for her & I had so much fun making it! I used white fleece for the overalls & just used a pair of pants that fit her & added a bit extra for the side to come out. I couldn't find a brown turtleneck that was on sale so I bought a white one & dyed it with Rit Dye. I painted her tights with brown craft paint. I made boot covers by tracing her shoes & adding an inch. I made the white balls for the boots with white yarn. I used orange face paint, green hair spray, & a white eyeliner pencil for her eyebrows.
