Optimus Prime Costume

My 5-year old son, Matthew, is wearing his homemade costume made by my husband and me. The idea came from other YouTube DIY transformers costume creators. This costume is mainly made of cardboard materials especially milk boxes. (Milk boxes are from my babies'milk) They are recyclable materials that I collected for the past few months. We used metallic paper for design and color. We used a black shiny folder for windows and wheels. We also used glue, double-sided tape, and glue sticks. First, I made the helmet using those materials I mentioned. Then, I made the body, the hood, and connected them together. Lastly, we made the other remaining accessories for arms and legs and the gun. My husband puts the pieces together and makes it fit for my son. He made alterations to the entire costume. He decides on the final look of the costume. We used navy pants and a red long sleeve shirt and gloves as innerwear for my son. (Innerwear is his own clothes) Excluding the innerwear, the entire costume costs about $6 to make.
