Pac-Man Family Costume

My son, who is a wheelchair user, wanted to be PacMan this year. PacMan needs ghosts so the whole family joined in! I made these costumes completely from scratch using foam board, paint, hot glue, and LOTS of duct tape! The PacMan head had to be constructed so that it would sit high on the wheelchair, allowing my son to see out front, and not interfere with the function of the wheels. Also, my husband (red ghost) had a hole in the front of his costume where could reach through and assist my son by pushing the wheelchair when needed. There was a small opening in the back of PacMan for the wheelchair handlebar. There were no patterns used - these were all drawn, cut and painted freehand. The yellow on the blue ghosts was glow-in-the-dark and looked awesome once it got dark. We also carried around the PacMan sound effects. What a blast! Waka waka waka!
