Phoenix and Gryphon the Astronauts Costume

Phoenix and Gryphon are out of this world in their astronaut costumes. They are sailing through space in a home-made foamboard rocket ship, created to give the illusion that it’s floating through the air.

For the astronaut costumes, we glued patches and astronaut insignias onto white shirts, and attached zippers. To make the rocket ship, we used foamboard, which we glued into the correct shapes and painted. We tried to create appropriate designs, like windows and buttons, and also made a burst of fire for it to come out of the back by painting foamboard and attaching it.
