This homemade costume for pets entered our 2017 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Bonnie and Beth, the 'The Revolutionary Soldiers' costume creators:
Phoenix and Gryphon are dressed as the drum corps from the army during the Revolutionary War. They are wearing red, white and blue uniforms with gold buttons, and white satin sashes with gold buckles. To top it off, they have tricorn hats. Between them is their trusty cannon, shooting off patriotic fireworks to celebrate America. This cannon was home-made from a giant cement tube painted black and decorated with pipe insulation pieces painted gold. The wheels are made of foamboard and decorated to look like cannon wheels.
