A word from Bethany, the 'Pillsbury DoughBoy' costume creator:
Meet our 6 month old Pillsbury Doughboy Branson! I wanted to make his something cute and fat, so why not the Doughboy?! The costume is basically made from mostly white fleece! a few other things I bought were a white onesie, some white leggings and a strip of white cotton fabric. For his hat I used a strip of poster board and for the Pillsbury logo I used a vinyl cutter and blue htv vinyl (Cricut). I found almost every tutorial separate on pinterest! I searched them all separately. A tutorial for a stuff body suit. A tutorial for a chefs hat. A tutorial for fleece mittens. And lastly a tutorial for fleece booties. You find them all on Pinterest and tons at that. For his tie I cut two long rectangular strips from the white cotton (measure your child's neck for sizing) I made mine long enough so it would tie in a loose knot. I then sewed the two strips together leaving one size open to turn inside out. I then turned inside out. Taking the opening and folding the outer end inside and stitching. And lastly I made myself an apron to match. I just found a apron tutorial on Pinterest and sewed it using 1 yard of blue cotton fabric and just added white satin ribbon for the trim. I sewed on a pocket and glue in some wooden spoons I bought at the Dollar store. For the logo I again used my vinyl cutter.
I hope you enjoyed viewing our little doughboy!
