This homemade costume for boys entered our 2014 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Elizabeth, the 'Polar Express Train' costume creator:
My son, Samuel, is a beautiful 6 year old boy with Autism who has an undying relationship with trains! The Polar Express is his favorite movie, favorite toy, favorite soundtrack... It was no surprise that he requested to BE the Polar Express this Halloween! Challenge accepted!
I made this costume using 3 cardboard boxes pieced together with duck tape, painted with black spray paint, and used gold foil for trim. It is lightweight and carried by 2 elastic shoulder straps. It makes a fabulous toy that he spends hours adoring, as well as a unique costume that he'll trick or treat with this year!
