A word from Megan, the 'Pregnant Zombie' costume creator:
I love zombies! So I decided to utilize my 8 month pregnant belly and become a slightly offensive and disturbing zombie with a zombie fetus ripping through my night gown out of my belly. Using a large bouncy ball as a form similar to my pregnant stomach, I took a girls baby doll and Gorilla Glued the face and arms to a pregnancy belly band, positioning an arm taring through and the other arm reaching out, with the face peering outward. Using Elmer's glue and toilet paper, I plastered and sculpted around the doll to what looked like the flesh of my pregnant belly. I then painted the baby and around the baby using acrylic paint and a without marker, indicating a zombie fetus. After my three day art project was finally dry, I put on an old night gown ripping a hole where the baby was located and applied fake blood where you would naturally see it soak in. I also applied pale foundation make up to my face and neck, while using dark lipstick and brown eye shadow to indicate rotting flesh and sunken in face, nose, cheeks, and neck. With my already dirty hair, used articles of clothing, fake blood and awesome zombie baby, I topped the costume of with white out zombie contacts that added the extra disturbing effect. I was told by grown men that I was so scary, unrecognizable by close friends and avoided by others due to my disturbing appearance. Apparently I even caused nightmares. I placed in two costume contests that night winning 1st at one location and 2nd at another. My photo has circulated around Facebook, getting a lot of attention. Besides the contacts my costume was extremely cheat and original and that is why I feel I deserve to win this contest.
