Rainbow Unicorn Costume

My 5 year old daughter, Julia, in her Rainbow Unicorn costume. Julia loves rainbows and unicorns and had a rainbow unicorn birthday when she turned 5 this summer so naturally she wanted to be one for Halloween. I knew we had to do something special and make it into a true unicorn costume with 4 legs. The costume cost about $8 to make. She had the unicorn shirt. If she hadn't, we would have just used a pink shirt. We bought the rainbow tutu and headband ($3), & rainbow wig ($5) for extra effect from Walmart. The rest of the costume was self made. We used plastic luau necklaces to make the tail and the mane. The mane was attached to the headband. A pool noodle, cardboard, old leggings and socks, pillow case, duct tape, belt and wire hanger were used to make the body of the unicorn and have her be able to wear the back legs of the body. It was a lot of fun to make and a joy for her to wear!!!!!!
