This homemade costume for babies entered our 2014 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Vanessa, the 'Reading Rainbow' costume creator:
My son is only 7 months, and too small to eat candy or go trick or treating, but that doesnt mean he cant get dressed up right?!
I was watching then news about the Kickstarter that reached enough money for Reading Rainbow to come back, and BOOM the idea hit me!
I Googled Reading Rainbow images, and I stumbled across a print ad of Levar Burton ( the host) and tried to recreate the pic I saw.
I gathered all his baby reading books, put on a dark shirt, and colored in a mustache with eye liner.
Just house hold items that gave us a big laugh!
