Keagan Version 6.0 Costume
Costume type: | Costumes for Boys |
Category: |
This homemade costume for boys entered our 2017 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Jessica, the 'Robot Keagan' costume creator:
Keagan is almost 6 years old and told me he wanted to be a robot this year for Halloween, and it had to have lights. So mommy brainstormed and Keagan and I worked on the costume together. He picked out the colors, helped with the gears and told me what else he thought it needed.
So we recycled almost everything on the costume except for the l.e.d. lights, making this costume around $10.00. Started with a cardboard box, painted the box, added metal corners (from a previous project) , cut gears from card stock and cardboard, put different amounts of foam behind the gears to make them "pop" and look 3/D, and took white Christmas lights that flash like a heartbeat for around the heart and lastly added the l.e.d. light strip onto the costume and dryer tubes for arms and legs. :)
