This homemade costume for couples entered our 2013 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Tami, the 'Rock Em Sock Em Robots' costume creator:
We decided this Halloween we would dress as beloved game piece characters Red Rocker and Blue Bomber from Mattel’s Rock ‘Em, Sock ‘Em Robots.
Our costumes are constructed out of heavy cardboard, pieced together with packing tape and reinforced with hot glue. Each robot stands an impressive 7 1/2 feet tall and weighs 35 pounds.
The robots are "painted" with red and blue colored duct tape. Rubber super bouncy balls (cut in half and spray painted) create the "rivets".
