Rooster Baby Costume

My husband decided our son would be a rooster for his second (first) halloween. I looked around at store bought costumes and they were ok, but not great. So we decided to make it ourselves. I took two long sleeve white onsies and sewed them together and then filled them with stuffing to make the body. Then I took about 3 feather boas and sewed them around the body to make the feathers. I could not find Bright yellow tights, so I purchased white little girl tights and dyed them bright yellow for the legs. I ordered a white cap for babies for his head and then made the red part for on top. That turned out to be a bit big....but still worked. My husband carried him around on his shoulders as he was just turning into a walker and everyone outside (even in cars) would point and smile or make comments. Several people took pictures of him. It did turn out pretty cute!
