Rotting Mermaid Costume

My daughter jazlynn is wearing the costume. I thought of the idea from the little mermaid but used my imagination and decided to add gore. I ordered a yard of mermaid material on eBay for 14.99 and sewed the skirt. For the tail I used lace type material. For the top I bought a bra, glued netting,shells and moss that I purchased from Walmart. For the crustaceans on her face and arms, I used cotton balls with liquid latex. Soaked and shaped them. The scales were made from Scilicone, I made molds with clay for them. The white contacts I purchased online as well as the stage blood and blood scab. It was a fun little project and I enjoy making gory type costumes 😊
