This homemade costume for couples entered our 2020 Halloween Costume Contest,
A word from Candace, the 'Scary Mickey and Minnie Mouse' costume creator:
This is my boyfriend and I in the costumes I made for us. I wanted to take a character everyone knew but put a creepy spin on it.
I pieced the outfits together with thrift store clothes, dyed wig caps to cover the heads, and made the ears with posterboard and sequins. I used masking tape on our faces to cover our noses and create lips to attach the teeth to.
