Schuyler Sisters 2019 Costume

We were lucky enough to watch Hamilton in September 2019 and when I saw the Schuyler sisters take the stage I thought our three daughters might love to wear those lovely period dresses for Halloween! Fortunately there were video clips of the Schuyler sisters online so they could visualize and they became huge Hamilton fans! The costumes are hand sewn from faux dupioni using Simplicity - 3725 as a pattern base - I made modifications to match the Broadway costumes. We went to the theater district on Halloween as we knew there was a fan show -- the crowds around the theater were amazing and the Hamilton social media team took their photos. By a great stroke of luck and magic, we also were able to snag three cancellation tickets and our two oldest daughters were able to watch the show that night! It feels like a lifetime ago (support the arts and theater community as they struggle through this pandemic!); but I am so grateful for these memories.
