This homemade costume for girls entered our 2017 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Stephanie, the 'Shimmer and Shine Genies' costume creator:
My daughter Katy and her friend Evi are wearing Shimmer and Shine genie costumes from the Nick Jr show Shimmer and Shine. I sewed the vests, pants and sashes to match the cartoon as closely as possible and also had to make them sensory friendly. I crafted bracelets and headpieces from ribbons, beads and clay. We found ponytails and face stickers at the store and dyed shirts to match. Katy was excited to tell everyone who they were and grant their wish for a happy Halloween!
