This homemade costume for families entered our 2022 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Chelsea, the 'Solar System' costume creator:
Chelsea- The Sun
Steven (my husband)- Mercury
Coco (Daughter)- Mars and holding Venus
Estella (Daughter)- Saturn and holding Neptune
Jane Craig- Earth and holding Uranus
Kristen Craig- Jupiter
Pluto has been tossed aside
Since our daughters were born we have always paired their costumes. This year we wanted them to be the Sun, Moon and Earth. However, the idea kept growing and we decided to become the entire Solar System. Paper mache and painting credit goes to Kristen. The costumes are all homemade with recycled materials the budget for all the costumes was about $50.
We used scrap paper, balloons, Yoga Balls, and a lot of glue paper mache.
