This homemade costume for adults entered our 2014 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Cynthia, the 'Somnium' costume creator:
My angel of inspiration named Somnium, which is Latin for dream. A A bandaged being with wings on her arms, instead of her back.
The wings where a major part for this piece, so I spent many weeks observing my friends pet birds, to see how their wings worked. The over all structure comes built in with pockets within the sleeves, a "bone" to manipulate the opening and closing affect, and the over all overlay of the feathers to make it just as realistic.
