Sorceress Gazelda with Pet Dragon Costume

I am a High School Teacher and in the picture I am wearing the costume outside of my classroom. The idea came from several factors: Someone donated the shiny green fabric to me and I was watching a reality tv show in which contestants create original creatures. I was inspired by the show to create a puppet. I based this character loosely on "Maleficent" but think of her as Maleficent's cousin.

The hand under the dragon in the cage is a false hand and mine is inside the puppet. It was fun asking people if they wanted to pet the dragon and then going after their hand. I just learned to create latex masks last year so these are only my 3rd and 4th latex creations. The dragon puppet is filled with expanding foam.

This was a labor of love which I started 6 weeks before Halloween and finished at 9pm the night before.
