How can I get these costumes?

#10 comment by C. R. August 10, 2019

I am trying to make the heads. Any suggestions or steps you are willing to share with me. How did you get them to stay on and not fall over? Anything would be helpful. I'm planning on making these for me and my teacher friends for school!

The heads were made it from foam cushions I bought at JoAnns Fabrics. Had to carve out the heads with a knife. Used an electric knife to get the inside out. The cushion is meant for a chair- so it didn't fall down. Just was difficult to cut out. Used the extra foam to make the face. Morph suits for the body. Hope this helps. Email me if out have any additional questions.

Thanks for your help. You you happen to remember how many inches deep the cushions were? I am only finding 1" and 2" deep cushions. Thanks again

Sorry so late in replying. My cushions were 3" deep . I bought them at my local JoAnn's Fabrics.
Good Luck!!

How did you make the sign?

#15 comment by Kim September 19, 2019

Sign was made from a thin insulation board I bought at Home Depot.
Just copied the bag - paint, construction paper.

Did you reinforce the sides with zip ties or anything?? Also, what type of paint works on the foam?
