South Park Family Costume

This costume was worn my myself, my husband, and our two daughters! We came up with this idea because two of the characters in South Park are Kyle and Kenny. Our daughters names are Kyleigh and Kendall, (which we actually shorten to Kyle and Keni)Haha. We also literally live on the south side of our local park! I made our costumes completely from scratch. For the clothing, I made them completely out of felt to give it the more cartoon look. I basically just copied it from a picture of the show. The treat bags were made of felt as well and the sign on the front was made out of a piece of felt that I drew lines on with a permanent marker and stuck foam letters to spell out "South Park". The heads were the most time consuming. It consists of 25 layers of paper mache that covered a large inflatable ball. Once it was hardened, I deflated the ball, sanded the heads and then painted them free hand. The hats on the heads are also made of felt and I attached them with hot glue. The eyes of the heads have holes in the pupils to see forward and the mouths are cut out to see the ground in front of you! We were all very happy with how they turned out!
