This homemade costume for families entered our 2016 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Mary, the 'Space Family' costume creator:
We love to pick a new theme for our family's Halloween costumes each year. This year we chose, Space! My husband is a giant moon. My son is a astronaut blasting off. My daughter is a space shuttle and I am the constellation, the big dipper. We typically like to make our costumes from scratch but this year I found my son's space suit on sale and it turned out to be the perfect addition to his costume. We used mostly cardboard and fabric to make the costumes. These costumes took over 20hrs to make and cost $39 total. The full tutorial on how to make all of our costumes can be found on our website.
