Sponge Bob Sassy Pants Costume

My 8 year old daughter, Sara Morgan loves Sponge Bob (can't figure out that) and wanted to dress up as the character for Halloween. Most of the costumes are boyish, so we decided to take a more feminine approach! We took an old yellow T-shirt that she had and glued the face on it. We simply used felt to make the features for the face. The skirt is brown tulle gathered on elastic with a white band. Of course Sponge Bob has to have a tie- this is made from red fabric remnants. She wore her black rain boots with tube socks to finish it off. She received tons of compliments for a very inexpensive costume!
