This homemade costume for families entered our 2014 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Ashley, the 'Star Wars Family' costume creator:
My husband (Han Solo) took my three year old son to MVCC's comicon last month....he became obsessed with the r2d2 robot they had there and decided that that was what he wanted to be for Halloween. So we got a garbage can from big lots and some paint and carved out the r2d2 costume (we attached suspenders to it so the whole thing wasn't resting on his head). The rest of us kind of just threw together the Princess Leia, Hans Solo and Darth Vader (my sister in law visiting from NJ) costumes with things we had around the house (my husband did have to purchase a wig as he is bald :) Our son loved it!!
