A word from Taryn, the 'Starcraft II Adjutant' costume creator:
I created this costume (and wore it myself) through a lot of hard work and experimentation. I had never made a costume like this before so there was a lot of trial and error. I chose this costume to make because a) I knew there was a slim chance that anyone else would dress as her and b) it would be a challenge. I made the headpiece, gauntlets and chest/back plates using a combination of worbla and eva foam which I connected with d-rings and elastic. The skirt was made from a simple hoop skirt adorned with wire. And I even made my own prosthetic forehead (which attached from my actual forehead to the headpiece) with foamed gelatin. I was a definitely challenge to make but the result was amazing. People seemed in awe of my work which made me really proud.
