Steampunk Era Costume

I love the look from this era. It fits my personality well. I've just seen pictures of It online and fell in love instantly. So I went out looking to buy things to put put one together and it wasn't adding up to something I could afford. So I went to work with things I had around the house and at thrift stores. The clothes came from both with some hand sewed modifications to the skirt and jacket. The hat is made completely out of a yoga mat and foam sheets. String for a weld look and glide together. Epoxy for the rivet affected. Painted and rub and buffed. Same for the googles, with modified sunglasses lenses. Added accessories and leathers straps from purse here and there and wala. I'm back to the steam punk era and a VERY afford price!! I had a blast making it. My boyfriend also joined on the fun. Hes really the super creative one!
