Steampunk Plague Doctors Costume

My husband and I thought “plague doctors” would be apropos this year! Alternately, the color scheme also makes them reminiscent of “Spy vs. Spy” from Mad Magazine. The masks were acquired from a wonderful artist on Etsy (4everstore), and from there it was just a matter of finding the right clothes and hats. Although the Halloween party we were going to got cancelled and put on Zoom, we still had a great time wearing them on a stroll around the block, and hanging out on the front porch to say “Happy Halloween” to the handful of trick-or-treaters we put out self-serve candy for. Pro-tip: a tiny smear of dish soap does a great job preventing lenses from fogging up.
