This homemade costume for women entered our 2021 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Phalesia, the 'Sugar Skull' costume creator:
I am wearing the costume. I’m a 33 makeup artist from Illinois. I’ve been wanting to do a sugar skull themed photoshoot for awhile now. I connected with an old photographer friend and we made it happen.
I made my head piece entirely out of zipties connected to a headband then spray painting, then attaching flowers of choice. The makeup was also done by me. The beading was all hand-placed one by one.
