This homemade costume for pets entered our 2017 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Jill, the 'Sunflower Harvest' costume creator:
Alex Quinn (Golden Retriever) and Liz Mohler from Newport PA. Alex is dressed as a Sunflower and Liz is the gardener handing out flowers and helping Alex grow to a fully mature flower.
Liz is a Manager at a flower shop and this flower came in and we decided it would be the perfect costum. The flower has a Styrofoam center and silk wire petals. We cut the center out to fit Alex’s head, taped the center so we did have styrofoam all over the place and cut off the leaves and taped them to her leash. The total cost was $26.
