Super Spaghetti Surprise Dog Costume

Dixie Puff the Magic Crested is a 3 year old pure bred Chinese Crested. The idea came from looking through costumes for children and realizing that Dixie and spaghetti are almost the same color. I started with a winter fleece that had a hood and covered it in a red gingham fabric to give the appearance of a tablecloth. I then cut beige yarn into 15" strips and glued each strip to the fabric. I then swirled the fabric to make it look more like spaghetti. For the meatballs I cut Styrofoam balls in half. For the sauce, I mixed red, brown, beige and black paint until I had the perfect color. I painted the Styrofoam "meatballs" and glued them on to the spaghetti and added some extra "sauce" to some of the individual spaghetti pieces. Dixie's red lease was also covered in the red gingham fabric.
